How we use your information
Last updated 7 November 2026.
This page explains what the Merchandise Planning Institute collects through this website and the Merchandise Planning Mastery course, and how we use it. If you have a question, email enrolments@merchandiseplanninginstitute.com.
When you buy the course
Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe tells us your name, your email address and the details of your purchase, so we can give you access.
Your customer record
We keep a record for each learner. It holds your email address, your name, how you got access and when, when you last signed in, the course emails we have sent you, any credential issued to you, and your course progress.
We use it to give you access, to help if you lose your code, and to support you through the course. We do not sell it.
Your progress
Your progress is saved to your account, so you can carry on from any of your devices. That includes the lessons you have finished, your quiz and exam scores and answers, your work in the exercises, and your certificate name and credential. A copy also stays in your browser, so the course keeps working if your connection drops. We can see how far you have got, so we can help if something goes wrong.
Emails
We send course emails, such as your access code, through a service called Postmark.
Your credential
If you pass the final exam, you can get a credential with its own verification link. Anyone with that link can see your name, your completion date, your exam score and the credential ID. You choose who to share it with.
Cookies
Sign-in cookies. When you sign in to the course, we set cookies that keep you signed in and limit how many devices can use one account. The course does not work without them.
Google Analytics. On the public pages of this website, but not inside the course, we use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful. It sets cookies and sends Google details such as the pages you view, your approximate location and the type of device you use. We do not use it for advertising. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked before it is turned on. Anyone can change their choice at any time.
You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where your information is kept
This website runs on Cloudflare, and your customer record is stored there. Stripe, Postmark and Google keep their own records of what they handle for us. These services may store information outside your country.
Your choices
To ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it, email enrolments@merchandiseplanninginstitute.com. If we delete your record, you may no longer be able to sign in to the course.
